Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson Has Passed Away

By Keiichi Morisato

This week, we saw the loss of three great cultural icons. Ed McMahon, co-host and sidesick of Johnny Carson and Star Search, Farrah Fawcett, star of Charlie’s Angels, and Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. This is a great loss to the world as everyone mourns the passing of these great legends.

Farrah Fawcett, star of the hit 70′s series, Charlie’s Angels, has passed away from her battle with cancer. Married to Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man), she lost her battle, passing away at the age of 62.

Michael Jackson, most notably known as the “King of Pop” has also passed away, suffering from a cardiac arrest, after doctors in Los Angeles failed to revive him. While know for his hit  songs “Thriller” and the Free Willy song, “Will You Be There?” he passed away earlier today at the age of 50. He released several albums, gaining 13 top number one hits.

These two will surely be missed.

Diamond Comic Distributors Shows Antipathy Toward Anime & Manga Publishers

By Keiichi Morisato

It looks like Diamond Comic Distributors are showing some real antipathy toward anime and manga publishers and the makers of toys releated to both egnres. Dismissing it off by classifying that it costs Diamond $2500 to list each item. While I sympathize with the distributor, how much can it cost to use ink to print an item on the page? This is just Diamond’s way of trying to get publishers to guarantee huge orders and greater profits for Diamond.

Diamond Comic Distributors should be ashamed of themselves for placing unreasonable burdens on anime and manga publishers. After all, if more and more comic book publishers start deciding that dealing with outfits like Diamond just isn’t worth it anymore and work instead on dealing directly with comic shops and bookstores/booksellers, then Diamond could be setting off a firestorm that could have real hard implications for their company.

First PVC Figure Purchase: Revoltech PVC Figures Just Ordered

By Keiichi Morisato

While there have been many figures, toys and models and other merchandise released for various anime, manga and video game properties, I have finally ordered my first pair of figures, mainly from the “Revoltech “line of figures. These figures are simply gorgeous. While I hope to receive my figures by the end of this week, I’m hoping to share my find with the rest of our community when they finally arrive. These first two figures I ordered, the first one is from the  “Sweet Dreams” anime series and the second one is from the “Idol Master” anime series. I’ll post the opening event when I received these figures.

Of the two figures that I ordered are:
