Forum Members: “0″ Posts, Support the Community, Post Something
By Keiichi Morisato
During the past few years, I’ve tried many alternatives to combat the posting of spam on the forums, through PM Messages and through the posting of spam in the guestbook that is linked to through the forums. The Guestbook Spam seems to be getting hit a bit more frequently.
To combat this problem, I have decided to purge any registered account that has never posted a single message. Now, while we don’t have requirements for posting on the forums, we’re going to start requiring our members to, at the very least, post an introduction topic in our Introductions forum. We happen to be a very small community but the forums won’t be supported if nobody posts.
We have about 50 active members, give or take, who post either frequently or infrequently. While some of our members are more active than others, they do support our community by engaging in topics that interest them.
Where this concerns New Accounts/New Registrations, if you create an account, support the community by posting something, unrelated to spam. Introduce yourself. Our members aren’t dangerous and you may just make a new friend or two. We do get exclsuive information on new Ah! My Goddess merchandise and even whispers about the anime series. What better way to find out about this than by posting?
So, if you have an account, post something. We have a lot of forums to keep you interested and we’re always open to new ideas.
