Keiichi’s Rant
By Keiichi Morisato
My Rant: From time to time, I get asked about when the third season of the Ah! My Goddess television series will begin. To start off, the second season ended back in 2006 and at that time, Gohda-san, the director for both seasons of the television series, had said that he had plans on returning to the television series after a brief hiatus away from the anime series. While two episodes were produced last year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime and manga series, many have reported that the two episode OVA’s were actually the third season.
This isn’t true, in the least. The third season has yet to begin production and while we haven’t heard any information, one way or the other, whenever news breaks, it’s usually posted on our forums by members who are always on the lookout for such information.
We just ask that, before you believe the rumors that are posted on other sites, that you check our site from time to time, even the forums, as there are many websites who like to post rumors about the anime series that are untrue and based on speculation. We have a select group of members who uncover information all of the time but don’t post the news until it can be verified either through an official website, community or something posted on an industry website.
We also try to verify our information with other sources as well. Matter of fact, we often receive information about the anime and manga information before Anime News Network does, so just bookmark our site because you never know when there might be an announcement regarding the television series.
Kikuo Inoue to Appear at Otakon
By Keiichi Morisato
The Otakon convention has announced that Japanese voice actress Kikuko Inoue will appear at the July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland. Inoue made her professional debut in 1988′s Hai! Akko Desu television anime series, but she rose to prominence the following year as the serene older sister character Kasumi in Ranma ½. Inoue would continue playing that archetype with Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess!, arguably her most famous role. However, she played edgier roles such as Ogenki Clinic‘s Ruko Tatase and Lust in the ongoing Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood television series.
Inoue also appeared in El Hazard, Onegai Teacher, Nadia – Secret of Blue Water, Saint Tail, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Clannad, Macross Frontier, Saber Marionette J, Claymore, and dozens of other titles.

Why We Ban Spammers
By Keiichi Morisato
Some of you are probably wondering why we’re so pro-active in announcing frequently that we’re banning certain members. To be fair about it, we don’t just randomly ban members and the reason why certain members get banned is that they’re quickly identified as a Spammer or Spambot.
We simply don’t allow anyone to post or advertise for businesses on our site or on our forums. This not only clogs up our forums with the same topic for the same ad being posted over and over again but they mostly violate our forum rules by posting the same topic in every forum. While the site is funded mainly from my own pocket, combined from some donations that we receive from our members, we simply require advertisers to pay to advertise and when that happens, there are selected areas of the site where those ads can be posted.
Spammers and Spambots are paid by entities who pay them for posting ads on their products on “free forums.” While our accounts are free, we do require anyone who wishes to advertise to pay for that right to advertise their product on our site. We do use a website called Stop Forum Spam. While some spammers and spambots try to create newer usernames and use email addresses that aren’t registered, their IP Addresses never change. When we discover a spamming account through either their username, email or IP address, we then ban that member by IP address and email from the site and it the email and username are new, we submit those accounts as known spammers.
We do make every effort to ensure that someone who isn’t a spammer isn’t being banned and we have a remarkable 100% rate on that front. Through these efforts, we have kept the forums free from these spammers and our forums are a safe environment to interact or post with the rest of our community.
