Anime Production: Ah! My Goddess “Anime” OAD Trailer Online

For those of you who might not have heard about this, Kodansha has released a 90 second trailer for the Ah! My Goddess OAD that is due to be released on February 23rd, in limited edition copies of the 42nd volume of the tankouban manga series. If you’re unfamiliar with what an OAD is, it’s basically a specially produced anime episode that is included as a bonus item, packaged with the manga of the series series.
This is the first OAD episode for Ah! My Goddess and you can preview it here:
Synopsis: Keiichi finds out that the amusement park he once went to with Belldandy is about to close down. He then asks Belldandy to go there with him, to the place significant within their memories. It is a rare chance for the two to be alone together, and Belldandy is extremely pleased. However, Belldandy’s expanding powers are causing the Goddess’ existence to disappear from Earth.
While the unsuspecting Belldandy and nervous Keiichi are enjoying themselves, Urd and Skuld are developing a counter-plan.
Ah! My Goddess Volume 42 Announced: Cover Art Released

Thought everyone might enjoy some news that the cover artwork for Volume 42 of the tankouban manga series has been posted by Kodansha. Now, this is assuming that this is the actual art. There is a possibility that this may very well be preliminary artwork or just an ad for volume 42 as many manga publishers do to solicit for their manga title. The upcoming release of Ah! My Goddess v.42, which will include the first OAD anime episode for Ah! My Goddess, is being priced at ￥3,970, which converts to nearly $48 (U.S.) The standard manga generally sells for around ￥510, which might be a premium price for the release of this manga volume. Ah! My Goddess “OAD Anime” Official Website Goes Live

The good news is that the official website for the release of the Ah! My Goddess OAD anime DVD has finally went LIVE. Unfortunately, the site is in “Japanese.” However, the official website for this release is now available: OAD Anime Website. According to juanc70, one of our registered forum members, the retail price for Volume 42 (w/OAD) is set to retail at $40US. Remember that this is an approximate price.

Ah! My Goddess Season 1 DVD Set Arrives September 1st

Media Blasters is preparing to release the first season of the Ah! My Goddess television series that they released back in 2005/2006. This is a re-release of the economy boxed set they released two years ago and this new set is priced affordably for anime fans to pick up on.
From the details that I have, the set is due to be released on September 1st and Amazon has it listed for Pre-Order at $31.49. The set has an SRP of $44.99 and is priced lower than the previous economy set and will include all six DVD’s. The content is unchanged.
