The upcoming release of Ah! My Goddess v.42, which will include the first OAD anime episode for Ah! My Goddess, is being priced at ￥3,970, which converts to nearly $48 (U.S.) The standard manga generally sells for around ￥510, which might be a premium price for the release of this manga volume. For those of you who are just joining in, the new Ah! My Goddess OAD anime is scheduled to be released this coming February, 2011, and is due to be distributed with the release of Ah! My Goddess Volume 42.

For those of you who haven’t discovered it yet, Kodansha has announced that there is a new Ah! My Goddess anime in production. While this is a new anime event, it’s been listed an an “OAD.” If you would like to know more about this new anime production, check out our discussion topic here:

If you haven’t checked out forums in some time, please take the time and stop by. The new forum upgrades have mostly been complete; we’ve fixed our account registration problems and activity on the forums haven’t been better. We have a new Reputation System where members can vote for each other to get their names displayed on the Board Index in our top 10 Reputation Leaders board and we’re working on adding even more features.

We receive exclusive information regarding the future of the television series as well as the manga series and we also receive information pertaining to new merchandise being produced for the 20th anniversary of the manga series.

This Fall/Winter will mark the 21st anniversary of this long running manga series and with the 250th chapter of the manga only recently released in Japan, we’re all excited. The Otakon convention has announced that Japanese voice actress Kikuko Inoue will appear at the July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland. Inoue made her professional debut in 1988′s Hai! Akko Desu television anime series, but she rose to prominence the following year as the serene older sister character Kasumi in Ranma ½. Inoue would continue playing that archetype with Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess!, arguably her most famous role. However, she played edgier roles such as Ogenki Clinic‘s Ruko Tatase and Lust in the ongoing Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood television series.

Inoue also appeared in El Hazard, Onegai Teacher, Nadia – Secret of Blue Water, Saint Tail, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Clannad, Macross Frontier, Saber Marionette J, Claymore, and dozens of other titles.
