Kikuo Inoue to Appear at Otakon

The Otakon convention has announced that Japanese voice actress Kikuko Inoue will appear at the July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland. Inoue made her professional debut in 1988’s Hai! Akko Desu television anime series, but she rose to prominence the following year as the serene older sister character Kasumi in Ranma ½. Inoue would continue playing that archetype with Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess!, arguably her most famous role. However, she played edgier roles such as Ogenki Clinic’s Ruko Tatase and Lust in the ongoing Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood television series.

Inoue also appeared in El Hazard, Onegai Teacher, Nadia – Secret of Blue Water, Saint Tail, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Clannad, Macross Frontier, Saber Marionette J, Claymore, and dozens of other titles.

The high-definition theatrical rollout of the 98-minute PG-13 film will begin in Los Angeles at Anime Expo on July 2.
