I saw this and was going to post it myself. Darn you.

Anyway: fantastic work. I'm glad that the artist was able to nail making her feel like an actual being you could actually meet. A problem I've found in a lot of fan art of anime or manga characters that tries to make them more realistic and they tend to enter into the uncanny valley. I'd love to see the artist take on the others. Well done.

I'll have to agree with that. It's really hard to make a believable version of an anime character, as most artists often come up with either unrecognizable characters or simply something that doesn't look very natural at all.

 

This is one of the best attempts of depicting Belldandy in a realistic manner that still keeps her as close to her original style as possible. Also, the artist did mention in the picture's comment section (in their deviant art page - provided by the link above) that they do like Urd, so... it might be possible to see her in the future. Who knows? Still, I'm definitely looking forward to that.
