Do you like trying out new features and maybe also assist software / game developers in ironing out bugs? Or do you prefer to play it safe and stick with the final builds? I personally mostly stick with final builds whenever possible especially as for "critical" software. Only if something is seriously broken then I'm willing to give pre-release versions a shot provided that the gain justifies the risk. Otherwise I would just revert back to the previous stable build if that's an option.
ComiPo!, software that helps users create their own professional looking manga, will be released in the US in August. They just released a tutorial video: http://youtu.be/XxdmWsU1IXo with narration by Yuu Asakawa, the voice actress who was sampled to create the voice of Luka Megurine and one of the hosts of the web show Otaku-Verse Zero (which is on Crunchyroll). This sounds like cool software. I might pick it up if it isn't too expensive...
