Maybe sometime after Chihiro shows up?  The whole thing gets blown after she starts to figure it out.

Everyone else is like "No! its supposed to be a secret that we know!"

Got a bit of an idea for a fic after watching "Palutena's Revolting Dinner" short. It's on the 3DS in two  shorts, but as expected, someone uploaded the thing on the internet.

I was also inspired by a Touhou doujin, 'Chef Remilia's Cooking Will Make You Happy!!' by Millet Soup

As for the idea, Urd decides to give Belldandy a break by offering to cook dinner. Belldandy is hesitant, but agrees. After a certain amount of steps, Urd decides to spice things up with a potion or two.

Things escalate. Food comes to life and attacks the goddess. However, the food is not sapient, just aggressive.

It even gets to the point where Urd calls in Lind for help against the now-living food. Urd also wants to prevent Belldandy from learning about the whole thing, worried that Belldandy would prevent Urd from ever cooking again.

Then again, with that last part, You could switch Urd with Skuld and there'd be no change. Either Urd pops in with a potion to help Skuld or Skuld's improvements to the oven makes food come to life.

And yes, I remember the thing where Peorth made magical food that moved on its own and fed it to Keiichi. That wanted to be eaten, however.

You could have them both doing the cooking, we all know there is no chance of anything going wrong there.  The combo of a potion to spice things up plus Skuld modifying the stove to be more efficient would never cause anything wrong to happen.

EDIT:  You should do this in your What If story.  What if Skuld and Urd both agreed to cook dinner for Keiichi and Belldandy!

The judgement gate was never meant to be passed.  Now that someone has, the high council of heaven seeks a way to repeal that decision...

Meanwhile, 20 years have passed on earth.  K and Bell have a home in the suburbs and a few kids of their own.  Things have gotten rather quiet, aside from the occasional visit form aunties Urd and Skuld.

Keiichi works tirelessly to support the family, trapped in an endless cycle of work, eat, sleep, repeat, while Bell works to take care of the kids.

One day he receives a warning from a mysterious service worker that he should be on is best behavior as the judgement gate's decision is being reevaluated, and that he can't tell Belldandy about it.

With work only getting more intense and time as his enemy,  can Keiichi find a way to escape the cycle and LIVE before it is too late?

Here's an idea that could be either creepy or potentially depressing. Probably odd at best.

What if the gods and the demons... were Tulpas?

A Tulpa is a thoughtform, an independent entity brought to life by the power of belief. Sort of an imaginary friend come to life.

So Belldandy starts off as Keiichi's excuse why he doesn't date. He's got a girlfriend, Really! She's just outta town. Eventually, Belldandy starts to exist because Keiichi creates so many excuses and stories, either he or enough people begin to believe she exists.

Urd starts to exist because Keiichi starts to fantasize about sex.

Skuld because Keiichi begins to have doubts that he is not worthy of Belldandy.

Mara because he wants excitement and victory over a foe that is nearly Belldandy's equal.

Hild, Tyr, and Lind because Keiichi began to worldbuild.

Would Belldandy and the others know they are tulpas?

If they did, would they try to keep things like a slice-of-life story to keep everyone safe from Keiichi having really bad thoughts/ideas? Imagine if in the 80's Ghostbusters, Gozer kept shapeshifting because they kept reading minds throughout the event. Any time someone thought of someone to stop Gozer, Gozer would simply take the form of that.

If they didn't, how would the audience know? Little hints of re-writes? Like one day, Belldandy is jealous of Keiichi and Megumi's relationship and wishes she had a sister or two, so Keiichi either on purpose or unwittingly creates Urd and Skuld.

Go. Read. American Gods.

Seriously.  Half the premise is that the gods are all tulpas that came with their worshippers to America and got stuck there.

In other news...how and why would Keiichi have a strong enough consciousness and spiritual resonance to be able to create so many different tulpas?

Good Question. I wish I had an answer, but other than Leyline stuff and Keiichi merely being in the right place at the right time to use Earth's energy or slightly ripping off the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and making Keiichi a god who does not know it, I have no idea.

I'll go buy a copy of American gods in a little bit. Thanks for the suggestion, Nena!

Maybe there are two parts. Maybe we create tulpas all the time, but only a very few become significant Tulpas by gaining the attention of some higher-dimensional entity who finds them interesting, compatible and/or attractive in some way, and choose to invest some part of their awareness into them.

At that point they become actual personifications, able to affect the world and interact with people other than the initial daydreamer. They can even influence the person to create proto-tulpas suitable for their otherworldly friends and relatives.

That does sounds interesting, Imaginos.

On a side note, I got a copy of American gods and will read it when I get a chance.

As for another idea from me... Let's see...

Is there a way to have Belldandy as the antagonist?

There's one series that keeps popping on my radar whenever I go online,  Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. I haven't watched it, but I've done some research on it, simply because of how often I keep running into the series.

To cut a long explanation short, in that series, two teenagers get their powers from a combination of jewelry and magical entities that are referred to as Kwamis. The teens superhero identities are Ladybug and Cat Noir

The Big bag also has a Kwami, though it  is against the Kwami's will, as the Kwamis are meant to empower heroes. The Big bad is named Hawkmoth and he can use his Kwami to create evil entities called Akuma, which can possess people and change them into brainwashed and crazy supervillians that are themed by incidents they were wronged by and a strong desire for revenge.

...I guess an example would be to use the Queen Sayoko story arc, but with three key differences.

1.) Mara isn't there.

2.) The change to N.I.T. was done thanks to the akuma giving Sayoko the powers to do so.

3.) Sayoko is brainwashed by the Akuma, so she gets more extreme as time goes on. As in Queen of hearts, screaming 'Off with Belldandy's head', anyone?

But this is about Belldandy becoming the antagonist, not rehashing the Queen Sayoko story arc in a possibly darker way.

I guess a cheap way to have Belldandy as the antagonist is to focus on Urd or Skuld trying to become a first class goddess or Keiichi is in a trial to become a god, but Belldandy is the opponent for the final part.
