Board games and Tabletop games.

3 posts in this topic

As of late, I've been playing one of three board games with my siblings every two weeks.

King of Tokyo, Ghostbusters the board game, and Card Against Humanity. Once in a great while, we play Tetris board game, the one that is vertically played.

King of Toyko seems somewhat like Yahtzee with a Kaiju twist added on top of it.

Ghostbusters the board game is a grid board game that is Player vs environment. You all work together to stop ghosts.

Card Against Humanity is NSFW and the humor gets pretty dark. One players asks a question from the black cards and the others pick a white card to answer.

I have some others in the wings, but one or both of my siblings either don't have an interest in them or the rules are a mess to comprehend. They are Arkham Horror and Space Hulk.

Arkham Horror is you and the other players fighting Eldritch baddies and sealing gates before one of the old ones is summoned. If the old one is summoned, then either things get reall hard or the game ends.

Space Hulk is a board game based on Warhammer 40000. Space Marines in metal suits vs aliens.

And yes, I know about the Ghostbusters 2 board game. I put money towards it.

And of you feel like talking about or suggesting board games or table top games you like?

It's been at least more than a decade when I played a non-digital old-school boardgame the last time. I think it was chess.

Latest Board Game I played was Star Trek five year mission.

It's a card/dice game.

Draw a alert card, roll dice to solve the problem.

Because it's a cooperative game, you don't have to solve the problem immediately. Just put the dice you rolled to solve as much as possible and let the others help you.

There's two crews. The original series and the Next Generation. you can't mix and match crews and ship.

For those that care, Wesley Crusher is only in the expansion, but gets a bonus if everyone playing says "Shut up, Wesley!"
